Mine's going through some serious health issues right now, and I can tell he's extremely worried and anxious about the whole thing. I saw him this weekend (from more than six feet), and he didn't look all that well, and he just sounded...kind of tired and defeated, I guess. Besides himself, he worries a lot (and does a lot) for our parents.I too have that brother, put us in a room and it's all on.

Rich mans Moussaka, my friend Niko G's father was a communist partisan in WW2 like my wife's Serbian and Croatian grandfathers . The country had been raped by the Axis powers. Then their was the Civil war. so for many years after 1949 agriculture in Greece was a mess. Potatoes were the cheap alternative. They were grown as a preference because they cold be stored for the winter. "Very Rich" persons Moussaka uses Aubergine and Courgettes.View attachment 43642

The Great Famine (Greek: Μεγάλος Λιμός) was a period of mass starvation during the Axis occupation of Greece, during World War II (1941–1944). The local population suffered greatly during this period, while the Axis Powers initiated a policy of large scale plunder.
