We went a new Chinese restaurant yesterday, it was recommended by Tripadvisor but we don't recommend it. Due to Corona only the buffet section was open, which turned out to be not very Chinese. I ended up eating Indonesian satay, Vietnamese lumpia, Japanese Teppanyaki salmon, and sushi. It did not warrant a picture.
The only really nice thing was the dessert, Dame blanche with Jasmine tea. We won't go again.

I think we were confused because you said 'mashed'. Endive (chicory in the UK) is a crisp tightly packed leafy head of lettuce. It can of course be cooked until tender - delicious! But I'm not sure how you would mash it. I think you could probably puree it, though. Maybe you used the root of the endive which is also edible?
