Dinner club last night at Thai chef about 15 mins away from me. Denise's choice, she's a besty of my wife for 30 odd years and she goes there regularly. Good choice 10/10 for everyone, branches through out nz. Entrees shared curry puffs ( home made) satay chicken skewers and extra for me shrimp won ton. Mains were sizzling beef steak and I had satay chicken. Best meals we've had in months.

Here is something my sister and I used to enjoy making (and eating) as kids, with minimal adult supervision. Muffin pizzas.

Basically, toast some English Muffins (ciabatta rolls would work great as a substitute), top with tomato sauce, grated cheese, and whatever else you/the kids like. Everyone can make their own favorites. I used homemade sauce, but we used sauce from a jar as kids. I also used freshly grated whole milk mozzarella, but cheese its wide open. I also used some pepperoni. Bake it in the oven at 400F/204C until the cheese is bubbly and the toppings look good.

I garnished mine with some fresh basil from the garden.

It may be a fun meal for kids, but I scarfed these down in no time.

Pretty much what we are having for dinner later, because we don't have any tinned salmon in the pantry. So plan b is cheese on toast.
My wife buys Swiss cheese ( I love it) when it's on special, did I mention my wife's frugal,?
Same with Parma cheese.
We have cheddar.

Looks and sounds good. I could try to engage my daughter in the making process. She is good in cooking, did omelette with onions last night.
The vintage cheddar we recently got was too heavy for us,although very rich taste, I did consume most of it over 2 weeks.
She loves baby mozzarella, me too, little balls oif mozz.
Next grocery shopping with new cheese...
