Were they packed by Ledo mate. ?

From the label they must have been shipped frozen and bagged in pams brand which is a supermarket brand, their own so supposedly cheaper. $6 for 500 gms. Cheap as chips.

A traditional NYC Reuben is composed of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread.

I know I've made them plenty of times minus the sauerkraut . Havnt come across one I like yet, we don't get much choice here. Bush road make most of our salads.

Looks and sounds good. I could try to engage my daughter in the making process. She is good in cooking, did omelette with onions last night.
The vintage cheddar we recently got was too heavy for us,although very rich taste, I did consume most of it over 2 weeks.
She loves baby mozzarella, me too, little balls oif mozz.
Next grocery shopping with new cheese...

Your daughter came to mind. She seems mature enough to make the whole thing without help from mom (she may be at that age where she wants mom to leave her alone to do things on her own). With young children the oven is the thing that adults need to do, or at least supervise closely.

Given the weather forecast indicating a cool spell starting today (29°C), I prepared a beef and potato pie, something I've been considering for a couple of weeks but it's been too hot.

Beef fillet, potatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms and OXO gravy with a puff pastry lid.

Made improvised Dan Dan noodles with leftover Indonesian meatballs for lunch.

Today's meal was another simple yam/sweet potato recipe.

Baked Chilli and Paprika Spiced Yam

Butcher called round with a chunk of roast cold beef for me to try. Beautiful piece of beef. Sliced and heated up with tomato relish and cheese. The meat melted in my mouth.

Special dinner out. After drinks, we skipped the appetizers and went straight to the main courses.

Parmesan-Herb-Crusted Beef Tenderloin for me, with rosemary potatoes and roasted broccolini:

MrsT had fettuccine with lobster and shrimp in a saffron-green onion sauce:

Chocolate soufflé and chocolate-Chambord cheesecake for dessert:

And a little digestif at the end; ginger biscuits and almond cookies:

Well I didn't cook for a change. I'm in Texas visiting my family because my aunt was terminally ill. I've cooked everynight until tonight.

My aunt passed away last night.

My cousins and I went to the Wheelhouse (per caseydog's suggestion) for dinner.

I had fried shrimp, fried crayfish tails, and fried oysters. The shrimp were great, the oysters were ok, and the crayfish tails needed some hot sauce as they were bland (I had to add it). Unfortunately my food was lukewarm so the French fries were lacking. I'd give the meal a 7 out of 10.

Not caseydog's fault. I should have gotten the blackened grouper. The view was nice.
