Another fabulous eating day yesterday and I’m headed for the city & Vivid again today.

I am spoiled in that I work just a few minutes walk from a banh mi place is often on the “top 10 list” in a city with thousands of Vietnamese bakeries serving them that’s quite the accolade.

I usually get a “pork roll” with 3 kinds of pork (Vietnamese Devon, terrine, roast pork) salad, herbs, pate, mayo & Maggi.

Then I met my daughter for ramen at Sydney’s number 1 tonkatsu shop in the small underground China Town food court.

And the a wander around Darling Harbour and more Gelato Messina’s. This one is hazelnut gelato with Frangellico soaked sponge & pieces of frozen ganache mixed in.

I pan fried two b/s chicken thighs seasoned with s&p as well some homemade poultry seasoning.
Topped them each with a mixture of mushrooms, onions, sweet red bell peppers, garlic and bacon.
I topped it all off with the diners cheese of choice: swiss for him and cheddar for moi and melted them under the broiler/grill.
MAN!
I don't know why I don't make this dish more often. DH just said, "That would make a really good sandwich. Did you make extra?"
No dang it, I should have!

Tried a new Italian restaurant. Special of freshly made tagliatelli with fresh porcini and black truffle shavings in a light white wine sauce. It was yummy!

Craig had gnocchi with pomodoro sauce. Shared a starter of saffron arrancini.
