Same here, Fritos have a completely unique taste, very salty.

I go through phases with them. Sometimes, just opening a bag and smelling them turns my stomach; other times, I could eat my weight in them. I like the regular Scoops ones and the chili-cheese ones.

To me, they don’t work with salsa at all. Bean dip and cheese dip, in chili, and I used to get them on chili burgers in San Antonio, all good.

You’ll think I’m crazy, but plain Fritos dipped in orange sherbet is hard to beat. That salty-sweet combination is delicious!

Oh no, they do not work with salsas. I sometimes eat the scoops and some jalapeño bean dip... and regret it later.

Well that was such a long time ago, LOLOLOL...

Is that the same as taco pie? Where they put the stuff in the little Frito bags?

Yup! Although I've never heard them called taco pie. Might be a regional thing.

Last night. Butter chicken, kofta curry, papadums, pani puri, basmati rice, cucumber mint raita, coriander chutney, tamarind date chutney, diced tomato & onion salad.

Made enough of both curry’s to put 2 x 1L containers of each into the deep freezer - the butter chicken sans potato as I hate the texture of the potato after it’s been frozen in sauce. Yucky.

An easy lunch.

Pekmez tahin (tahin is tahini and pekmez is a fruit molasses, often grape molasses or as in this case, date molasses.) I've finally found a decent (aka Mediterranean style) tahini that's not bitter to taste, and a fantastic date syrup that is full of flavour and depth, (not just sickly sweet from cheap dates). This is the first time I've got close to what we had in Türkiye.

Typically it is a Greek or Türkish breakfast, but I'd already had breakfast, so I had it for lunch instead.

Could I ask you to post a picture of the bottles so I can wave it in the face of the lovely helpful guy at the Turkish shop in Auburn next time I’m there please.

I'll send you some pictures in the morning, and a link to the wholesaler I buy them from (they sell to the public at wholesale prices.)

But the company is www.naturalmoreish.com.au and yes the saffron is excellent and is genuine and a very sensible price.

I made grouper nuggets last night with a caper and pickle relish tartar sauce. I used a lemon pepper and buttermilk egg wash and breaded them in a mix of Panko and regular bread crumbs. They were really good!

Right now I am heating up some leftover baby back pork ribs with Cajun seasoning and BBQ sauce.
