No, it was more of a Yorkshire pud type batter.

So pre cooked the pork for 10-15 mins then poured the batter around the chops/steaks and cook till batter is golden and well risen, about 30-35 mins.
How interesting! I am learning so much, I love that. Will research the Yorkshire pud batter...35 minutes? Wow. Thank you! I will want to try that some day!

It's been a very long time since I have had a steak as tasty as this New Zealand fillet (and it was probably ten times the price!). And the green peppercorn sauce was exquisite.

The fillet was pan fried in ELOO for 70 seconds each side then given the blowlamp treatment until charred. Left to rest for around 8 minutes. The chips were parboiled then air fried.

10/10 I'm glad you enjoy grass fed nz beef.

That looks like an amaaazing box of chocolate! The old sweets eating me would say, oh yeah, aaaall of them. Are these hand made? They look astonishingly tasty and diverse!
They're from Hotel Chocolat, a British company, so they're probably available to you there.

My wife is a travel agent and when the pandemic hit, one of her vendors gave her four or five boxes of these things, because they were at or near their "best before" date, and it's taken us this long to get through them.

You're giving me serious jealousy! :D

As I enjoy each creamy, luxurious chocolatey creation, as each piece slowly melts on my tongue, yielding its rich, sweet deliciousness to me, I'll take one...no, two seconds, and think about what I'm having and you're missing...oops, the salted caramel pieces are gone...mmmmm🤤

Wooow, thank you! I will look it up, it is possibly a perfect and special gift for friends who love chocolate. It should not have hurt the taste, right? Chocolates do not go bad quickly, did you try them? Are they still ok? Enjoy, they loook OMG. I think I have some cooking dar chocolate from a long time ago, I should do something with it... well Easter is coming, shmmm...cakes on the horizon...

A travel agent? Lovely! Great job, but how is she finding work during the pandemic? Domestic travel, I mean, within the US?

Yeah, they're fine. I just keep them in a cupboard out of the light and heat.

As to working during the pandemic...she isn't. This will be her second straight year with no income. :(

I am very sorry to hear she isn't working...I was writing an email several months ago to a friend, and touched upon the whole travel industry suffering during Covid...I feel for all these families.

Doesn't look like much, but I made meatball sandwiches with the rest of the meatballs and sauce, and salad (same as last night) to start:

Vegetarian zucchini lasagne, could be vegan if you used nutritional yeast instead of the Parm I used. Could also be a raw foods dish, except I wanted the zucchini cooked a bit. Green and gold zucchini sliced on the mandolin, then grilled with some EVOO and S and P. "Cheese layer" is a macadamia nut cream. Tomato sauce is fresh tomatoes and some of our oven dried tomatoes. Pesto used basil and carrot tops. We'll be having some garlic bread with.

Funny, I watched Pepin make a terrine with eggplant, roasted red peppers, Brie, and parsley, and when I first saw your pic, I thought that's what you'd made, because they look quite similar.
