What did you cook or eat today (May 2020)?

Good old corned beef hash with beans!

The only fast food burger I ever crave is a Whataburger -- a Texas thing, like In-N-Out is to California. McD's burgers are for fuel in a hurry. If I am eating one, I am probably driving... not very safe when you have a manual transmission.

I do like some of McD's breakfast items, and the coffee, as mentioned, is pretty good and reasonably priced.

Oh no. That's a Southern thing all the way, not just Texas. When I was in my 20s I worked in a bar in Florida. Whataburger breakfast tacquitos were a necessity at around 4 a.m. Now I live in OH. No Whataburger.

My fast food go-to is Chik-fil-A but that is a rare treat, maybe twice a year. And I used to eat some Chipotle, looks like my waistline got smaller since I quit doing that. And I upped my caffeine intake :hyper:

Sorry about continuing the off-topic tangent.

Back on track: I made pineapple upside down pancakes this morning with honey, American style. I caramelilzed some fresh pineapple chunks in butter and then layered batter over them after a few minutes. After flipping them, I spread fresh local honey over the top and then slid it onto a plate. I did it this way for each pancake. It's just me and hubby, so only two pancakes. If I were to do larger batches I would have caramelized all the pineapple at once. Sorry no, pics, we were very hungry. I will repeat at some point and try to take photos.

We didn't eat today until the run to the airport to get the crawfish and the grocery shopping was done, so stopped at Wendy's and got burgers and fries after 12:00. So, weren't really hungry tonight, made simple grilled ham and cheese sammies with a few cheetoes.

Did they arrive without too many dead ones? Good sized?

G grilled chicken leg quarters last night. I used the left overs to make pizza. I used a jarred BBQ sauce - Jack Miller's, a local sauce. G wanted it loaded so I added sweet banana peppers, jalapenos, onion, mushrooms and mozzarella.

I have been getting pizza dough from a locally owned pizza shop. They have two locations. Yesterday BOTH locations were struck by lightning! The original location had their lights blown out and had to have electrical work done. The second location had a computer knocked out and three TVs. The lightning strikes happened within seconds of each other.

Do you not make your own BBQ sauce? Btw, nice pizzas
