What did you cook or eat today (May 2020)?

It's just the light. That's Irish butter.
Ours is quite yellow.

Cooked rick steins Turkish dishes last night, pumpkin one was absolutely top notch. Sumac chicken was good too, but I'd use breast next time. I'll do this again. Previous night daughter cooked Greek lamb cutlets, that too was amazing. We are eating well. Fridaynhere somtakeaways tonight.

I yearn for a Big Mac. It's not something I eat often, but I really want one. Probably because I can't, on account of McD's still being closed.

I'm not sure where our nearest McDonald's is. 300 km away at least I would think. I've had two McDonald's burgers in 26 years; one in Kuala Lumpur in c. 1998 and one in Bangkok in 2010. I am not looking forward to the next one (if there is one).

[Wrong! There are two McDonald outlets in Nakorn Ratchasima which is only 210 km distance]

A piece of completely useless information - Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the first McDonald's restaurant in San Bernardino, California, on this date 80 years ago.

Norra lorra people know that.

I don't mind the odd McDonalds, I think people can be a bit snobby about them. Every couple of months if i'm out and about I may have a small cheese burger and diet coke and very nice it is too. It does no harm at all in moderation, the ones that annoy me are the very large parents and their too large kids filling their faces on a regular basis. I feel sorry for those kids as they are being set the wrong example and it is most definitely going to lead to health problems down the line. I guess I sound a little judgemental but I have long thought that nutrition, cooking and budgeting should be a compulsory lesson in all schools and I don't understand why it's not.

"Four McDonald's employees in Oklahoma City were injured Wednesday night after telling a customer to leave the dining area, which was closed due to coronavirus restrictions. Authorities said the angry customer shot one of the workers, also injuring three others."
