What did you cook or eat today (May 2020)?

I don't mind the odd McDonalds, I think people can be a bit snobby about them. Every couple of months if i'm out and about I may have a small cheese burger and diet coke and very nice it is too. It does no harm at all in moderation, the ones that annoy me are the very large parents and their too large kids filling their faces on a regular basis. I feel sorry for those kids as they are being set the wrong example and it is most definitely going to lead to health problems down the line. I guess I sound a little judgemental but I have long thought that nutrition, cooking and budgeting should be a compulsory lesson in all schools and I don't understand why it's not.
Although I don't often use them for burgers, I do use them if I am working away and need an early breakfast. Their coffee is good, and not expensive. I refuse to pay the prices charged by Starbucks and Costa. McD's bacon & egg muffin is quite palatable, in a plastic sort of way. That's breakfast sorted for below £4

Sausage and peppers with a side of store bought potato salad.

Evening from Aus

Last nights meal was bloody fantastic. Friend cooked a crumbed chicken dish with a spiced Asian influenced tomato sauce & finely shredded cheese “snow” on top. Inspired by @instakrill on instagram.

Today for lunch was a crackling pork banh mi & a handful of hot chips.

Tonight with thanks to past frizz we had a green chicken curry from the deep freezer. Made it back in January- loads of mushroom, cauliflower, broccoli & eggplant.

"Four McDonald's employees in Oklahoma City were injured Wednesday night after telling a customer to leave the dining area, which was closed due to coronavirus restrictions. Authorities said the angry customer shot one of the workers, also injuring three others."

Yahoo News.

I think that was last week. The two "customers" were caught by police, BTW.

We have at least one of these stories every week. An employee of a dollar store was shot and killed for being told to leave the store because he didn't have a mask.

But, there are protestors mobbing state capitols with signs and assault riffles demanding an end to stay at home and other Covid-19 orders.

Looks like chicken parmesan... with asian sauce. :scratchhead:

The only fast food burger I ever crave is a Whataburger -- a Texas thing, like In-N-Out is to California. McD's burgers are for fuel in a hurry. If I am eating one, I am probably driving... not very safe when you have a manual transmission.

I do like some of McD's breakfast items, and the coffee, as mentioned, is pretty good and reasonably priced.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court over rules Governors "Stay at home extension". BTW, where do civilians buy "assault riffles"? An AR15 is not an assault riffle.

That was our friendly neighbors just to our north, and I think that's what caused our Guv to go from a cautious opening plan to a recklessly accelerated opening plan. He (and his staff) were getting death threats and the protests were building here in Ohio.

That just focuses on the nomenclature, though, doesn't it, while ignoring the act itself? The concerning thing isn't whether someone calls it an assault rifle or a squirreling gun, it's more the act of rushing the state capitol, regardless of the reason, armed. Yes, I know there's no ban (yet) on weapons in the state capitol there, but it's that kind of muscle-flexing that's the issue that should be debated, not whether a particular firearm is called this or that.

As a gun owner myself (though not an enthusiast) please note, I'm not getting into whether people should own or use any particular firearm, or what their rights are, or any kind of 2nd amendment discussion. I'm only commenting on how, in general terms, arguing over labels ignores the real subject. It's like saying, "That truck just ran down my mother-in-law," and having someone respond, "That wasn't a truck, it was a panel van, so quit complaining!" It ignores the real issue.

Using up a bit of leftover ground beef and the last of some homemade bread. There's a little (ok, a lot) of mayo under there, and the yolk is cooked by intent. As soon as it hit the pan, I broke it and spread it across the entire white, so there was a thin layer of yolk in every bite.

Well when you consider that the left uses those terms and the media pushes their agenda, being very high on BS and extremely low on fact, I find their crap to be totally useless. :headshake:I think open carry would curb a lot of crime!
