What did you cook or eat today (May 2020)?

I buy him his salty snacks. I am frugal. If they aren't on sale they sit on that shelf in the grocery store. Unfortunately, in times of COVID-19 , he might have to wait until they go on sale again, dagnabit. Unless he is so desperate that he dons his mask and goes himself.

I know dagnabit is an odd word. Thank you.

I spent 3½ hours preparing and cooking it (off and on), transferred a portion to a dish and then decided that 39°C was not the ideal temperature to be eating chilli con carne. I returned the portion to the pot and shall eat it later.

Obviously I did have a taste and it's on the cool side of magma with an initial delay of about 5 seconds and a residual sensation of about 5 minutes on the tongue and a further 5 minutes plus on the lips.

Made Watalappam yesterday/today, basically a Sri Lankan steamed coconut/jaggery/egg custard. Will throw in the video link too...as was a bonus my Sri Lankan neighbours really liked it.
