I have not been able to sleep and so, made a pepperoni calzone with french fries, in hopes that it would help make me sleepy.

I'm not sure how that will effect your Covid vaccination, but I don't think Dr. Fauci will have a problem with it. :okay:

CD

Apparently eating fresh chillis thins your blood. Which, according to my wife, is beneficial for the success of the vaccine. Another one is drinking lots of water but I'm not going down that route.

Basically, Poké just means 'sliced' and refers to (raw) sliced fish. So I didn't make authentic Poke, as it would be sliced fish. But I figured sliced chicken would also be nice to serve in the same way.

A traditional poke bowl is a bowl filled with sliced fish , veggies & Hawaian native fruits.

I will post the recipe later if you're interested.
Thanks!
Please post recipe when / if you get chance I would like to give it a go... much appreciated 🌞🌞

Layered leftover wholgrain cheddar naanwith fresh toms and greek yoghurt in a vertical snap tin. Refreshing snap.👍
Starting easy with the coffee. Third of the day so far, 1 pm.

High praise form a guy from Detroit.

Just messin' with you. It does look good.

It's not widely known, but Detroit does have a substantial Mexican Town. This doesn't exactly make me an expert, but I do know where to go when I want something authentic. This is also why I am particularly annoyed when places have the nerve to put Authentic on their sign: I have yet to see a place that claimed to be authentic Mexican be anything better than a Taco Bell knockoff. The places that are actually authentic already know it, and don't feel a need to tell you about it.

The restaurant where we ate was in a trendy area. I can tell by the portion size that they were trying to save pennies to pay the rent.

In the my family any rendered fat that is kashrut we called schmaltz. But really it should be only chicken. I eat treif (non kosher), so I will use butter on meat sandwiches. Schmaltz herring (Yiddish) is herring caught just before spawning, when the fat (schmaltz) in the fish is at a maximum. Colloquially, schmaltz herring refers to this fish pickled in brine: see pickled herring.
Thanks for the follow up, I appreciate it.

A friend of mine just told me about schmaltz herring the other, by chance. I love herring anything, so I wanna try it.

Beef Patties with Spaghetti and Pesto from Good Housekeeping Institute, Top 100 pasta dishes.

This was also excellent, Mrs Wyshiepoo has some saved up in the fridge for tomorrow.

Fairly simple, pre cooked beef patties, topped with anchovy and mozzarella and grilled just before serving on spaghetti with pesto, olive and shallot sauce.
