My sister-in-law just got back from Puerto Rico and I made her some food.

i haven't been to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria devastated the Island. My sister was there for a day last month. I need to go back down there.

My SIL is from there originally. My brother bought his mother-in-law a house in Puerto Rico so my sister-in-law was/is going there to help her get settled. I'll probably be back in Houston again in June to dogsit. Ugh, the heat!

We muricans are rubbing off on you lol.

I actually do both usually. I have a cup of tea 1st and follow with coffee.

Yeah I casually mentioned I hadn't had a real coffee in ages. Bag of Italian roast coffee turned up. Along with a 2 pot thingy
Nice for a change. :)

We used to get fresh scallops from Nelson. 5 hrs north of me. They stopped dredging a few years ago.
Man they were good .!!

I've a few friends in Florida who dive for scallops every year.

Unrelated note: watching Poldark over past week made me think of 'ee as it's set in Cornwall mostly...where your roots are.

One of SatNav's "specials"... as hubby calls it.

3 varieties of lentils and peas (chana dal, green lentils and black lentils), aubergines, onion, home grown tomatoes, a whole load of spices and a lot of tamarind... one tasty evening meal served with brown basmati rice.

Had a lazy day today, my husband is home today because of a national holiday ( the feast of Mary's ascencion to heaven). We don't celebrate as we're pagan but it's a national day off. So I made a semi fry up. With sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs and toast.
