My SIL is from there originally. My brother bought his mother-in-law a house in Puerto Rico so my sister-in-law was/is going there to help her get settled. I've a few friends in Florida who dive for scallops every year.We used to get fresh scallops from Nelson. 5 hrs north of me. They stopped dredging a few years ago.

Thanks! They were darned good. Got them from Aldi of all places. Cryovac frozen--I thawed, rinsed, dried and salted them, then let them air dry in the frig for a few hours so they'd sear properly.Those scallops look beautifully cooked.
