Last nights dinner was a first. Home made Shrimp Burger Patty's green and red salads. I made up the patty recipe up in the morning by adapting a Gefilte Fish recipe. Pud was H/M plum compote turnovers with custard. Yesterday we boiled and shelled the shrimp we bought and froze last week. To quote yesterdays prediction " I am going to make shrimp burgers for tonight. In my head this sounds right. Put onion and hake fillets in the food processor and wizz till smooth, add egg and ground almonds an pulse a bit. Drop the shrimps in and pulse to chop and mix a little. Cool then shape."

Looks good. My mother made pigs' feet with BBQ sauce when we were growing up. I'm not big on pork because I have GI issues. I like ham and pork chops occasionally. I have never understood people's absolute love for bacon. I can take it or leave it (I know, thems fightin' words ;-).

What did you have for sides?

Happy Father's Day in your household (I don't know if you're male or female ;-).
Thanks, mjd-lovescooking :)! It's my husband who's the hero of the day. It's no surprise that you're confused over my gender: the talk here is mainly food-related, I've deleted the only pic I've sent of myself before and my avatar-pic is of our late dog - with an altered name by one of Tove Jansson's Moomin character; Hemulen, who aimlessly happens to be a male - I just checked on the internet. I've never been such a fan of Moomin characters that I would've read the children's books in detail or got to know all of the characters even when I was little (in the 70's - early 80's). I thought Hemulen was an old lady. Just look at her...him:

This is me "keeping up appearances" in a recent opening gala of an art exhibition:

Back to the topic: We had spaghetti Bolognese for lunch (after returning from the countryside) and rest of the pre-prep blueberry cake for dessert. I'll fry a couple of pike-perch fillets later.

Thanks for the backstory to your online name. It was interesting. BTW, you look very beautiful in that photo.

On topic...Sounds yummy.
