It really is enough to get you home asap isn't it?

They (NHS) once said they would make me a pea risotto after the nursing staff complained I wasn't getting anything I could eat. Someone came up from the kitchen and I explained the very simple recipe. I ended up with a pile of rice on one side of the plate and a pile of peas on the other side of the plate. The nursing staff actually told my husband to bring food in for me after that.

Get well soon, if only to survive the hospital stay!

Looks diabolical 🥹

On my sons recent hospital stay I warned him to brace for the hospital food and then everything that he had looked decent and he enjoyed! They even had decent tea bags and coffee that tasted like coffee!
It was a new catering contract so who knows if it will last? 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t cook it or eat it more assembled it but I have just made two sandwiches and put them in the freezer to try out all the google/youtube info I’ve garnered.
Apparently done properly you can’t tell they were ever frozen (I have my doubts about that) so my meal skipping hangry “I don’t feel great” student son may have a solution when he heads out of the door late with no food or spare money for lunch out.
We’ll see!

For lunch, I stopped after PT for a Whataburger fix. No fries this time. Unsweetened iced tea, too. I figured the burger was unhealthy enough for one meal.
