Yes, with a hole cut in to cook the egg along with it. Usually called a hen’s nest or chicken in a basket.

Honestly, there are probably 30 names for that dish - one-eyed Jack, hole-in-one, etc. I fully expect to sit down at a restaurant one of these days and see it called spotted dick!
