What did you eat or cook today (December 2024)?

Hubby did salad and Spanish omelette.

The omelette is green because I've been trying to get more greens (literally) into our diet and suggested kale or broccoli. He came home with kale because there was no broccoli (industrial action being going on for several weeks now in the warehouse). Weirdly the kale has turned the red onions green!

Red onions turn green when cooked in an alkaline environment. Same with red cabbage.

All of it very delicious, and with not pictured Turkish bread. We had a lovely weekend ☺️
 
Been under the weather today (self inflicted 🥂) so Mr SSOAP baked some ribs and I’ve just had a tomato sandwich.
I love Spanish tomatoes, it was a lovely sarnie!

I'm jealous! I don't buy the tomatoes at the market so I'm out until next year's crop comes in. I can't see $1/each for a flavorless red ball they're calling a tomato.
