What did you eat or cook today (December 2024)?

If I had to guess, utter scrumpy is "scrumptious" but as for the chop, guessing it's a lamb chop since lamb gravy is being served with it, and I have no clue about the rumblethumps...maybe a brand?

Okay I was way off about the rumbledethumps, it's a Scottish dish with potatoes and cabbage.

Meant scrummy

Potato, cabbage, turnip and cheese. Barnsley chop is a cut of meat that hasn't been divided into 2 chops.

I'm with Lu on that one. But I am weird about apples. I don't like apple juice or cider, and I don't love raw apples or applesauce, but I absolutely adore apple pie (especially the Dutch crumb ones like Windigo makes). Oh yeah and I don't like apples and pork.

If you like apples you probably just haven’t had the right sort of cider. It comes in so many different forms there’s one for everyone.
I’ve never met anyone in the West Country that doesn’t like cider but some of the ciders people do like (a lot of the most popular ones) I find ‘orrible!

Edit: then again having re-read your post I think maybe not 😂

 only apple pie, and only the one with the crumble topping!
