I could make a joke (“It depends on what part of town you’re in” or “I didn’t always have a beard”), but in all seriousness, when I talk to people on the phone, I’m more often mistaken for a woman than I am correctly identified as a man.

I apparently have a very soft voice on the phone, and it happens so much, I stopped correcting people ages ago, unless it’s important to do so.

Oh god no.

It’s funny because I’m on another forum where I’m one of the younger people - most are men in their late-60’s to early-80’s, and we’re talking about white athletic/tube socks right now, and they’re all in the camp of, “What’s wrong with white socks?! They’re thick and warm and comfortable! I wear them with everything!” - I’m the lone voice of reason there. :laugh:
