Hope you enjoyed your time hereI bought a large statuette in Sri Lanka a few years ago. Someone asked me, "Isn't that a bit big to carry around." I said, "He ain't heavy, he's my Buddha."
Bad jokes apart, I enjoyed it greatly. As a vegetarian, it was nice to have lots of food that was suitable for me. In fact, I thought the food was superb. Also such a wonderful selection of fruit. I can't say I thought much of Sri Lankan beer, though...Hope you enjoyed your time here
Sri Lanka doesn't make any beer. There's a brand named Lion that could be Sri Lankan but most of the brands are global brands made in Sri Lanka. The most popular alcohol is Mendis arrack which is very strong and really aches the body (according to what people say; I've never drunk.) lolBad jokes apart, I enjoyed it greatly. We stayed at an eco-tourism lodge and had plenty of wildlife to see. I can honestly say that I've never seen so many different birds in the space of two weeks (and I'm quite a keen birder).
Lion was what we had in our hotel. From what I can see, it's majority-owned by a Sri Lankan company, though Carlsberg has a stake. Tourism in Sri Lanka is down to zero now because of the pandemic. Tourist hotels are empty now.

I think those Mini Dirt Apples (Radishes) would make a great Challenge Ingredient ...
