Stocking stuffers...

HickFarms.jpg

I had an errand to run which put me right across the street from the big mall in Frisco. I figure, ""I'm right here, I may as well go to the Hickory Farms kiosk. Wow, I had to park in the boonies, and when I got inside .

We have an actual HF standalone place here, but it's like those Halloween stores, it's open only during the holidays. Do they still have those meltaway mints? Those are my favorite!

I didn't notice. I knew what i wanted, and didn't really look at much else. The selection was not great.

Don't know what that means...

"The boonies" is a slang term for way out in the middle of nowhere. In my post, it means I had to park WAY far from the mall. There is another more "colorful" term that I can't use in polite company. It involves a fictional town in Egypt. Other Americans will know what that place is.

Ahhh, yes, "boonies," short for "boondocks," as in "out in the middle of nowhere."

I think you mentioned having briefly lived in Egypt at one time, Morning Glory, so you might know the place caseydog is referencing - starts with a "B" and rhymes with "gum truck..." - I always found it interesting that Arabic had a word made up of two English words and wondered about the translation...

I'm a little late to the party because I got some last week, but I just love romanesco broccoli. It's shape is so intriguing. It tastes like a combination of broccoli and cauliflower with a slight sweetness.

Some stuff from the restaurant store where we go once every 3 months. No, we don't consume all that candy or fat in 3 months, that's for the whole year lol.

We also bought a 2, 5 kilo bag of frozen spinach for stepson, a bag of cheese croquettes , and bag of steakhouse frozen fries.
I don't know what half that stuff is, but I want to eat it!

Yes. Its so beautiful. Especially if you plate it up to show off its fascinating fractal structure.
