Now that you’ve pointed out that they look like spiders, I have an extra reason to not like them!

I’m aware this is an odd comment (I reckon everyone knows by now that I am a bit odd anyway

I’ve just ordered some gin for my little ride out, haven’t had a boozy drink for some time so I’ve gone upmarket mini bar on it 
In lockdown I drank a boatload of these (why not we’re all about to die anyway), in the boredom I decided to wire the empties together to make myself a mini blue crown

It’s funny…I’d never used star anise until probably 18 months ago, for a recipe for a challenge here, no doubt, and I can’t really recall using them much since, but after yesterday’s cocktails, I have only one left.
