And I note the much maligned Aeropress has made it into the basket. What happened there?Yes, MrsT has become a coffee snob!

I do not like it, but it’s the preferred apparatus of hep coffee aficionados (such as MrsT) everywhere. And I note the much maligned Aeropress has made it into the basket. What happened there?
Well it does make good coffee!I do not like it, but it’s the preferred apparatus of hep coffee aficionados (such as MrsT) everywhere.
It does make good coffee, that I’ll agree with…it’s just that it’s such a cluttery apparatus for doing so - I make exactly 20 cups of coffee in it a week (14 for MrsT, 6 for me), have done for months now, and I still mess it up two or three times a week.Well it does make good coffee!

That’s our non-perishables for the car/room. I didn’t think it all would fit, but there it is.
There are Pringles, Munchos, two big Reese’s cups, tea, cookies, other cookies, various candies and chocolates…I think I still have room for a couple of apples!
I may look like regular ol’ Tasty when I get there, but this is how I’ll feel when I roll up on that hotel:

“Room for Mr. Gatsby, please!”
That’s just the dry goods. We’ll also have ham-and-cheese sandwiches, vegetables and dip, and more cheese…and that’s not counting the things I’m making for the meal on the day (apple-cheesecake pie, savory cheesecake, and sweet potato biscuits-not-cookies).Superb
And I think that answers my question on another thread about what food you’re taking!
Can I come? That’s just the dry goods. We’ll also have ham-and-cheese sandwiches, vegetables and dip, and more cheese…and that’s not counting the things I’m making for the meal on the day (apple-cheesecake pie, savory cheesecake, and sweet potato biscuits-not-cookies).
Me, too!Can I come?
I have tweed and I’m not afraid to use it
Bravo
I guess we all have our thresholds, but for us, it’s more than just the actual items in the hamper, it’s also about the fun of looking through them all online, picking one out, then anticipating its arrival…it’s the whole experience of it all that counts.
It feels very old-fashioned, and prim and proper and, yes, luxurious, even if it is just tea and biscuits…it’s tea and biscuits from a far-flung, almost mythical establishment, and for a little bit after it arrives, it’s like it’s 1910, and we’ve just gotten this nice little delivery. It harkens back to another place and time, really, which makes it feel very special indeed.
