Christmas 2024

We prefer our lights on or off, don't like flashing or twinkly as they can be distracting.

This morning I bought some stamps ready to post a few cards in a couple of weeks time.
This weekend I will see what we have and what we need to buy, it may seem a bit 'old fashioned' to still send cards but I prefer the personal touch as opposed to a generic message online.

We still send cards as well. The irony is that a lot of the cards we like have been imported from the UK for us to look at and then post back to the UK to the recipients! Lol. We do try to find typically Australian cards but the supply is sparse.

I am leaning towards lamb for Christmas dinner. Mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, vegetable (TBDL), and pan gravy to round out the meal.

An unusual choice I think for Christmas dinner in the USA? Well, I know lamb is a little scarce over there. I love it, especially a slow cooked shoulder of lamb. What cut were you thinking of using?

I bought a large butterflied, boneless leg of lamb for Easter, It was huge, probably 10 pounds+. Cost me $70.00+. I broke it down to three pieces. Now I have two still in the freezer, so one will be Christmas dinner. We LOVE lamb with garlic and lemon.

Sound lovely.

Yorkshire puddings! I haven't made those in a minute, or two... I'm sure you have your method but I've found this article useful in that endeavor.

Yorkshire Pudding Tips
Thank you.

I make full size and mini puds.

Those look awesome! Don't think you need the link...

I need to get a different pan for making mine. The one I have doesn't do that heat distribution thing fast enough.
