Heavy rain is forecast here for the next week, with daytime temperatures around 10 deg C. Today I shall be at home catching up on outstanding chores: 1) strip and descale bathroom taps, 2) repair wife's dressing table, 3) clean cooker and 4) bake a cake using apples.

After we did the food shopping I had my treat. Mrs Blank went clothes shopping and I went to my fav cafe for a hot chocolate, I passed the time studying the local flora and fauna.

I see a Wienerwald Chicken wandering around. We used to "steal" the dive boat and go to a waterfront bar/restaurant called Tugboat Annie's. Cats used to wonder around the outdoor tables, hoping for scraps.

Never heard it doing it's thing, it only gets switched on when I'm asleep for two reasons. Marina knows I cant stand peripheral noise and the elecky is cheap at night.
NB your gracious gift of garam and tandori spice arrived today mate. We both agree it smells the dogs, thank you.

Didn't get that wild as it turned out. All afternoon was spent on the cooker, including fixing a noisy fan. I got to wear one of those headlamps favoured by proper boffins, and to use a bendy 13mm spanner. Quite chuffed with the newly clean and very quiet appliance. I've even ordered some new knobs and a replacement badge for it - it does get some abuse.
Just spotted one of the dogs photo-bombing! She permanently circles the kitchen in the hope that I have dropped something edible.
