Shopping for me today as well; groceries and still looking for some Christmas plates. I've got a couple more places to check.

Chilly this morning, 30F/-1C, but it'll warm up a bit. Tomorrow will be downright cold, by all accounts.

Burt having a hot choc.
DOH the ladies were on afternoon shift, this morning is was cougars time. For you Hemulen

I'm assuming that dude is standing there waiting for his ass to show up... 😜
Actually sitting down on the other side of him wearing a very low top and very tight faux leather pants was a stunning blond 40 something. He only engaged her in conversation so he could clock her belly button.

I found some Christmas plates for you. They are only £1 each. Postage will be £85. They should arrive by January.

Nothing outside as the weather is dreadful but we are pottering about inside sorting out rubbish, recycling, grocery list for tomorrow.
As things stand at the moment, my dad will be with us on Christmas day so we have written a list of meals over the festive period so we can start picking up a few bits here and there.

Oh, shame...those are gold, and I'm looking for something that's more...I don't know...flaxen, maybe?...tawny?...otherwise, I'd be right on those.

All Saints day here so its a religious holiday. Nearly everything is closed. The easter break was fun because a few rebellious local priests here defied the boss bishop and the Government Covid rules and held masses. One priest got very aggressive with the police, all captured and posted on the tinterwebbly. Let's hope the godbothers kick off again.
The weather is the same as yesterday so we are walking down to the beach of a paddle, then a bit of sunbathing on the balcony. I have recorded Liverpools victory and we will watch it before dinner.
I was in the boys pen on this tremendous day. The goalie was my hero, Tommy Lawrence was rather rotund. His Kop nickname was the Flying Pig.

Ah, I could sleep in an hour later before getting up? Well, it still feels like just before 7 am, so too bad, I got out of bed.

(I was awake anyway - but still in bed using the phone until now - coffee is being made, and I am at the laptop which lends itself so much better to typing!)

I'll adjust to the time change eventually, but I don't have to be anywhere at a specific time until Wednesday noon.

Scheduled for today: Making eggplant pizzas. Posting a recipe or two here, including another puff pastry one, but from an earlier time.

Cleaning the Quail And Workshop room, including the quail housing boxes. Going to the dump. Cleaning the kitchen and dining area. Planting onion and garlic bulbs. Harvesting the beets and turnips.

I am off of Facebook for the month, and off of YouTube until the 4th of this month. Let's put it this way, if I see ONE MORE political ad, I will SCREAM. LOUDLY. And NONE of the candidates with high ad coverage are even running in my state. I just get overbleed from Maine and New Hampshire. Ditto as the frenzy here in this country is making FB an unpleasant experience but I'll give that the current month to be over, including the inevitable gloating and past-tense quarterbacking that will occur immediately after the national election.

So, this means I'll likely drop in here more often. Depending on your perspective, this could be good or bad... You'll at least get more recipes from me..

My plans today...looking for Christmas plates!

I also have to start thinking about my Thanksgiving menu and plan of attack.

Today is the start of cup fortnight, usually starts two days ago, but wife had to work over the weekend so everyone else travelled to kaikoura Saturday. Kaikoura cup today, it's set beside the sea and is amazing to be on track. We are going to a local club to bet and drink . Then it's Melbourne cup tomorrow. Racing every day for two weeks. Next Tuesday is nz trotting cup, a massive day in Christchurch. We don't go on to,the track as its chaos, I host a function here at home. I get caterers in and we have about 30 here for the day. I will do a cooked glazed ham for supper with rolls. I have friends stating from Auckland so I'm looking forward to seeing them as well. If I'm not here, you know I'm drinking and gambling.
