Well, found two salad plates:

From Walmart, $4 each. Now I just have to hope they get the dinner plates that go with it in.

This is pretty much what I wanted, nothing special, inexpensive, a bit cheesy/gauche, and sold by the plate (even online I was having a hard time finding single plates at a reasonable cost).

Of course, now I want a creamer and a sugar bowl...

My plan was to watch Football, and cook. I accomplished the first, as my Steelers beat the Ratbirds (Ravens), 28-24. As expected, it was a close game -- two excellent teams (that hate each other). The lead changed five times during the game.

Now, time to kick back for a while, then go into cooking mode.

I got inspired and just ordered this bowl for our traditional Christmas potato-beetroot-carrot-pickled cucumber salad from Kähler (Hammershøi). Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of kitsch ☃.

The weather has been good so the local shell fish catches were big for the last few nights. When we got to the Fish market in Split Tourist season is over and I think because it's all saints day not many punters. !kg of medium langoustines was about £8 I got 3 kgs for £20 and 2 kgs of shrimp for £6. This is the ladies stall we mainly by from on a previous visit.

Because of the new lockdown I can’t do very much, apart from going to the supermarket later and a couple of walks with Sam, I start to feel the need to make some workout since I can’t have my usual running or swimming. So today - and for the days ahead - I’m planning at least half an hour of stretching, plank, weights and then probably faint on the floor.

I have to schedule my surgery today. Then I need to call my PCP (primary care physician) and rattle her cage to get the referral I need to a specialist for my knee issue. She says there is nothing wrong with my knee, but she's an idiot. If there is nothing wrong, why the &%$# does it hurt?!!! My insurance won't pay for a specialist unless I get a referral from her. If I switch PCPs, I'll just get another one with a medical degree from some medical school in India, Nigeria or another third world country. That's how for-profit healthcare works.

Good for you! I already finished my arduous, backbreaking and exhausting daily exercise on the recumbent bicycle (duration: less than three minutes - as a defense I must add that at least the resistor/drag was at maximum level). If I'd have to do workout for more than five minutes, I'd probably be carried out in a coffin. I usually finish my physical piecework contract by taking several steps around the apartment in the Ministry of Silly Walks style (as my dear hubby calls my industrious and puffy leg-lifting workout).
