Going to another Farmer´s Market this morning; this time on the village green (same village I was born in). It´ll be interesting!

I went to one there (Bearsted Green) lots of years ago. At that time it was quite a small affair. I recall a woman selling spicy chutneys/pickles but on tasting I found them too sweet. I'm sure there was something else I did buy but can't remember. It might have been a local micro brewery's beer.

Probably doing the same here. Well, not going to the one in your village, but the one up the road here.

Going for the same reason The OMWC is going…last of the tomatoes. And some peaches. They had some fantastic peaches last week.

I had planned to wake up today and make some pizza dough..so, I did..but my yeast is pretty old and it didn't react..so I ditched the starter and will go to the grocery store to get some new stuff..I hate paying the price for those little envelopes when you can buy about 10 times as much for the same price if you purchase it bulk...but, I've got a craving....

Cue Casey with the cheap jokes...

We went to Bearsted Green and there were about 20 stalls. Some sold artwork, books, homemade jewellery, but most were food-inspired. A Canterbury company which makes cider; some with a mixture of apples, some with single apples. It´s been years (probably over 50 )since I´ve drunk cider. Right next door was a local wine producer: a very dry white, reminiscent of a good Frascati, and three "champagne" style wines. My opinion remains the same regarding British wines. " Good effort, could do better".
There was a local artisan cheesemaker who surprised me with the amazing choice of cheeses. I bought a sheep´s cheese blue.
After my own heart, there was a stall which had all sorts of chile products - hot sauces, chile jams, and even a chile piccalilli. The one I bought (because I´m addicted to anything hot and spicy) was Scotch bonnet and black pepper - a nice combination.
Then we went to a very old Inn (1560?) for a quick beer, followed by lunch at an Elizabethan (Liz 1st, not Liz 2nd) hotel and pub. Finally someone who knew how to cook swordfish!!

That always bothers me when I find that at farmers’ markets here, for some reason.
I haven´t got a problem, as long as it´s mostly food, rather than mostly artwork, etc.
The town market is an absolute disaster. There´s only one stall that sells food, unless you count someone who sells cheap and nasty packaged food, all the others sell bric-a-brac and second hand junk.
