Went to pickup curbside grocery order today, tomorrow cleaning I hope...I prefer to dust and vacuum when the sun is shining so I can see the dust and dirt more easily and it's been gloomy and wet here (typical OH) for several days.

Waiting on butcher to pick me up then a coffee somewhere?? Few items to pick up then home by 2pm. Then I will pick up dafyd aka david. Then pub drinking and gambling.
Wifes out to family function so I will pick up a burger and fries on my way home.
Perfect day!!!

Russ

What I omitted to say was it's just david and I this arvo, noone else to bother us. Last week another friend found out we were going and invited himself. He bought us bad luck. We havnt told anyone else this week. We enjoy 1 on 1 sometimes.

No. I rang a help line and they asked me to pull the plug, wait 1 minute then plug back in. Voila. It works. Guy said sometimes something didnt quite download. Makes sense. Note for next time. We bought tv a year to the day we bought it according to the wife.

Today I will:
Go over to my Mother's apartment two towns up from us
Take over a few odds and ends (Fall décor for her apartment), some meals that I've frozen for her and some canned goods that I've put up for her
Take Mom out to lunch at a new-to-us restaurant
Take Mom to the Salon to do her hair
On the way back to her apartment, we'll stop and get Crumbl Cookies

Then I've got to get dinner for DH (I should start to think of that now)

Which is?
Sorry! Missed your message completely!!
Dog and Bear at Lenham - originally built in 1602, so my Elizizabeth 1st assessment just slotted in as she died in 1603.
It was very pleasant. Not Michelin star food, but well-cooked, and first class service. First time I´ve been called "sir" for years

Yeah - I've also been there a while ago. Well, several times really. I don't think the food was as good back then. You also mentioned the Ringlestone Inn in another thread which dates back to the 1500's. I stayed there once (not sure its a hotel any more) and its was rather fun. It was snowing hard. The beamed room had a window with a deep window sill outside: perfect for keeping beer and wine chilled!

Back on topic (but still on the Pub theme):

Plans for today achieved, We walked to the Bull Inn on Penenden Heath to meet Steve's sister. We sat in the garden which has a covered section so the rain wasn't an issue. He hasn't seen her since his younger brother's funeral 4 years ago. I think she was upset by how much he has changed (Steve has dementia for those who don't know). Steve seemed to enjoy it. We ate a rather dull pub meal but it didn't matter. She took a Covid test before meeting us which was good as she could give him some big hugs.
