Plans today involved the Eiffel Tower, a Disney store visit for MrsT, and a kitchen store visit for moi
That spot is considered highly instagrammable, and it was hilarious to watch all the 20-something influencers with their pet photographers in tow while they all lined up to do exactly the same thing - stroll confidently into the shot from behind, walk about 10 paces, then just a confidently turn around and strike a pose. One after the other, that’s what I watched a load of young women do.
Seeing this critter was my favorite part of the day.
Up, up and away…
I love the Underground like a tourist attraction, but I much prefer Paris’ Metro signs.
One of three Mora window displays. The second one was all copper pans and the third was all baking-related.
Ok, some postcards for MrsT’s wee nephew who is obsessed with getting mail (), a bottle of white wine vinegar for my hair stylist friend), and a fish spatula for me (though I don’t cook fish), and I couldn’t resist that miniature Peugeot pepper mill.
The socks…on the morning we were leaving home, I remembered I forgot to pack socks, so I went back and grabbed my first pair…and was immediately sidetracked.
When we arrived here, I realized that I’d packed the one pair, so I needed socks. MrsT came out of the Disney store with a bunch of pins (she collects those), no shopping bag, and since I’d left the reusable shopping bags we’d brought from home in the hotel room (which I’ve done on every single trip since 2007), I had to buy a shopping bag from a souvenir kiosk (bag pictured above), and he had some socks, so I bought two pair of those. With the pair I wore, a rather thin pair they gave me on the plane, and the pair I packed, I can just get through the trip.
