Hey - doesn't your DH drive?
Right now, no.
He's having some health issues that need to be taken care of, so driving is out of the question for the time being.
He tried it once by himself when he got all pissy with me and it didn't go well-scared the stuffing outta him and he said, "yup you're right I gotta wait" 😒
Unfortunately, we can't get into to see his Doc until December, believe me, I've tried.
So for now, I'm the Chauffer ... I don't mind.

Had big plans today..Building a shed and just realized it won't fit where we had hoped..so, we have to move the plans to the other side of the yard..No biggie, but I have to do a bit of landscaping before I can build the platform..that's for another day..too much football on today..

Got to go into 'town' to get some blood tests done and pick up some meds (54km each way so it will take most of the morning), cancel my physio appointment on Wednesday and then probably sleep for the rest of the day. Got a chest infection which had knocked me off my feet, so having to take it easy. It's also national bird watch week so I'll do a 20 minute survey in there as well. I might even do it along the lake shore if I spot the pelicans whilst driving to get the blood tests done.

Plans for today completed. The weather and American Airlines were kind to me.

No building today. Yesterday, my sister's alma mater TCU beat OSU and are now in first place in the Big 12.

My alma mater, UNT won, too, and are in second place in CUSA.

Today, my Steelers beat "Our Lord and Savior Tom Brady" (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Overall, a pretty good weekend.

You do realise that the above is gobbledegook to me?

Today, I have to be on for work a half-hour early, but that’s ok. I’ll drop a half-hour early this afternoon.

I’ll probably start dragging the patio furniture into storage today, and I may go and take advantage of early voting and get my flu shot. It all depends on how lazy I’m feeling.

For the second time in a week, the early meeting I have to attend didn’t materialize.

The first time, it was rescheduled 20 minutes before it was supposed to start, and today, none of the meeting leaders showed, so we all bailed after waiting 10 minutes. Annoying.

I need to do some shopping for the parents this morning, and my dad's furniture for his new room arrives this afternoon.

Trying to sort out an order that my Mother placed.
She doesn't do well with the computer, so when she gets the catalogs that she likes, she pulls out the order form and writes down what she wants to order, calls the toll free customer service number, places her order over the phone with her credit card.
So here's the rub, she gives that poor customer service rep all the wrong information.
Fortunately, I now check her email DAILY and saw the order confirmation, with all the wrong info, which in turn her credit card blocked the sale... this is the third time that this has happened, but I've always been able to straight it out.
This time, the rep on the phone didn't want to take it from me that it's all wrong, but that's why it's being held up... sigh!
I was given an option to email the correct information to them and hopefully this goes smoothly.
I called my Mom, asking her what her online password was for this company, "Oh no, I don't do that, I call them." I knew that but I was hoping that maybe I was wrong.
double sigh
"Mom, can you please remember not to order this way anymore? We talked about this, if you want something just tell me and I'll take care of it."
triple sigh

Lucky for us, my mom lets my sister order anything she wants.

:giggle:
I should have known better! Mom didn't need anything that she ordered from the catalog.
All of Mom's mail comes to us and we take care of all of her bills.
So, I will give her random pieces of mail that I figure are useless junk mail, so she'll feel good that she still gets mail.
That was my second mistake ... the first was a week or so ago, I gave her said catalog, that piece of junk mail was a $10 "we miss you please order something now" gift certificate
Mom: My gift certificate was about to expire, I HAD to order something!
Me:
I'm such a dumb a$$
Well, this is all new to me; I've got a steep learning curve ahead of me.

My sister takes care of the bill paying. She also has my parent's Amazon account information, so she can buy stuff for my parents. I manage my mom's investment account. I check on it about once a month, to see how it is doing.

We do the same... Q1, one of Mom's accounts took a nose dive, fortunately, it matures (an IRA) the end of the year, thank gawd!
