What did you cook or eat today (August 2024)

Page 3 shows the coating mix she buys.
Thanks I just looked at that

I marinated chicken in miso soy and ginger. Dried after 2 hrs patted dry then put in a bowl with corn flour
Fried 160 deg few mins left to drain
I'll reheat at 190 deg when ready to cook. Serving with jasmine rice Japanese mayo and Korean bbq sauce.

Heading downtown to buy 2 kitchen seat cushions for Mom. I got a herbal balm for her aching knees, will bring both over before the heat kicks in strongly.
 
I didn't plan it, but have been quite active today.
Woke up, showered etc, made coffee.
Made food for my dogs and chicken stock for me due to a terribly job at cutting up a whole chicken.
Then watered all new and young plants in the garden.
Wrote a news letter updaty thing and got on top of other email inquiries.
Had brunch.
Then cooked up tomatoes that were close to going too ripe. Added new onion (from garden) blended and froze in portions.
Decided to make lemon pickle. From scratch.
Did so, but in the process I got upset with my spice set up. Cleaned and reorganised everything (much bigger job than you would imagine).
Then a full big watering of the garden.
Sat down for a bit, then went through my spice and herb box. Full full full box.
Threw out anything that didn't look good anymore
Cooked myself a nice noodle soup and now chilling with a homebrewed ginger beer
 
An early start, took my Dad to the lab, brought him back.

Grocery shopped, picked up a paper from the copy shop.

Sprayed some stains, did laundry.

Cleaned shower tub with vinegar/soda bicarbonata, parts are still soaking, scrubbing later.

Changed vac bag.

Garbage out.

Went book shopping. A new shower curtain, too.

Iced coffee out.

Lunch.

Rest for a while.
