Plans for today (2024)

And he's going to be okay. They did some tests and I really don't want to get into the root of the problem here, but it wasn't the flu and in the long run he will most likely be okay with a few lifestyle changes. We're home and he's eating a scrambled egg sandwich.
It's so nice to hear that everything is good!

The boys are off to a rugby match and I’m having a day in the kitchen.

Going to make that weird Austrian ‘cheesecake’ again for Sunday pud. Maybe two of them n see how one of them freezes 🤷‍♀️

Then I’ll make some sandwich meats. Three different chicken ones this time, probably a plain chicken, chorizo chicken and garlic chicken. I’ll see how I feel when I get to it.

But before all that another cup of tea and a browse of wood chips for smoking. I didn’t think I was a huge fan of smoked foods and yet to my surprise I’ve actually used the ones that came with the smoker!

I'm planning on murdering the mechanic, since he casually called yesterday at 3pm and said "oh, the spare part for your car was the wrong model..."
Another weekend condemned to staying at home.
So when in doubt, get out - into the garden. Need to clip the ivy growing down the garden wall, tidy up the lawn, etc.

I hate making a definitive plan in case I don't stick to it, LOL. Today I ended up vacuuming the whole downstairs, which takes over an hour because I have to move plants, bar stools, dining room chairs, plants, and even though I have an extension cord for it, I still have to unplug it twice to get the whole downstairs done (our master bedroom is downstairs). But I got it done!

Did all that. The mechanic received royal pardon, so I couldn't touch him. I went to the supermarket to buy stuff for a challenge item I'm going to make tomorrow, and for some Kasundi

Blimey. That is a lot of hoovering. Takes me less than 10 mins to hoover my ground floor. No carpet, no plants, and a very lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner.
