Plans for today (2024)

In the Embassy residence, they've got a curry plant about 10ft high. The ambassador's wife took me there and we used some for the dinner tonight.
Then, when I was about to leave, she gave me three little curry leaf plants in a pot😍 (I'll take a photo tomorrow) so problem solved!

Fantastic! I'm envious. Very envious, as I think it would be impossible to grow a curry leaf plant here in the UK.

They make new plants very easily.
I am thinking of putting them all around my boundary. Then if the goats come and eat them, I will have naturally curried goat
We've often sworn at my chickens when they've taken to eating my herbs, threatening with being pre-flavoured.... just add breadcrumbs (which they also love).

I have one here, but it struggles to over winter, so I suspect it would need a greenhouse in the UK. In fact looking at mine, I think it has died this winter sadly.

Sorry, misread that. I reckon karadekoolaid would have no problems growing it.
Turns out my plant is still alive. It has just waited for the heatwave to get going with growing again. It loses all its leaves and most of the side branches each winter. Perhaps it may need to come indoors in winter?
