Plans for today (2024)

In the Embassy residence, they've got a curry plant about 10ft high. The ambassador's wife took me there and we used some for the dinner tonight.
Then, when I was about to leave, she gave me three little curry leaf plants in a pot😍 (I'll take a photo tomorrow) so problem solved!

Fantastic! I'm envious. Very envious, as I think it would be impossible to grow a curry leaf plant here in the UK.

They make new plants very easily.
I am thinking of putting them all around my boundary. Then if the goats come and eat them, I will have naturally curried goat
We've often sworn at my chickens when they've taken to eating my herbs, threatening with being pre-flavoured.... just add breadcrumbs (which they also love).

I have one here, but it struggles to over winter, so I suspect it would need a greenhouse in the UK. In fact looking at mine, I think it has died this winter sadly.

Sorry, misread that. I reckon karadekoolaid would have no problems growing it.
Turns out my plant is still alive. It has just waited for the heatwave to get going with growing again. It loses all its leaves and most of the side branches each winter. Perhaps it may need to come indoors in winter?

I’ve got to write up yesterday’s stewed prunes for the challenge, also going to Sam’s Club strictly for toilet paper and paper towels, in search of a specific beer as well, so I’ll hit the big liquor store that’s just behind Sam’s, maybe a stop at Kroger for a couple of small items, and then I’ve got to get my packing sorted for next week.

As I glanced at the post my eyes landed on stewed prunes and toilet paper.
I thought oh dear an over-share is ahead 😂

Don’t worry - I have a rock-hard constitution. Those prunes won’t even cause a rumble.

Prunes: Haha, here we come!
Stomach: Bring it on, you wrinkly bastards!
Intestines (6 hours later): Is that all you got?! Weak!
Bottom (a few hours after that): I can’t believe I even woke up for this.”

Ah jolly good, glad you’ve made up for the lack of over-share earlier 😂

I got up to the barn for a ride! I’m riding a new mare now since the gelding I had been riding has retired. Even managed a little canter with the new gal! (Only one direction - she’s a bit stiff on the other side so was falling in a bit, we need to get her straightened out before I try a right lead canter).
