Plans for today (2024)

No plans on leaving the house today. I do have to work tonight for about an hour.

I’ll likely go outside and fill the bird feeders and the bird bath, put the Christmas ornaments away (now that they’re off the tree), and think about what I’m doing this weekend.

Eldest is coming down to sand the dining table we bought with their flat (because they absolutely must have it, love love love it etc etc) and it's been in my dining room since august!
An ultimatum has been issued 💪

But mumminess is an impossible thing to side step so of course when he arrives there are treats and snacks and some of his favourite foods 🙄😆

Food order incoming, making vegan ice cream and spaghetti bolognese (can't remember the last time I made the latter, it's probably been years), might have a go at egg bites today because I like those overpriced ones starbucks sell.

Bought a gimmick which will likely get used this evening (not by me) and look forward to updating everyone on its pointlessness later 😂

Another day of just staying home, I think, unless MrsT decides to go out to eat this evening. Fridays are my night off cooking or meal-planning (though it rarely works out that way).

Second gig of the leicester Comedy festival for us tonight; Sarah Keyworth.

Uncool to reply to your own post, but:
That was one of the best gigs I have seen, first time I've heard them come out as non-binary, and the whole show was based around the story of their voluntary double mastectomy. Cryingly funny and a real education, Sarah is set to win awards at the Edinburgh Festival, their best work to date, easily.
