Plans for today (2024)

In a minute avocado and garlic prawns on toast.
Round two of the egg bites because they are a delight.
Mostly lying down and whining about the headache I gave myself because I drank whisky last night even though I know it gives me a headache 🤪
Was it a decent whisky though?

Back to Bristol for round two on the DIY stuff. Not looking forward to it, the tiles in their bathrooms are the thickest hardest tiles I have ever tried to drill and in total there are 30 holes that need drilling. I’ve done half of the first one 😂

Going to make some ‘Sunny sunshine breakfast bars’ to take with me as they understandably don’t keep gluten free food in.

Robert Victor D******** born February 11th 1924, with two older sisters. Got a post as a radio operator on a Tyne tug at the start of WWII despite being under age (he lied), then went on to be a radar operator flying Wellingtons and Liberators over the Irish Sea looking for U-boats (survived a sea ditching). Moved into finance and insurance/pensions sales where he finally retired from running a branch that had the BBC as one of his clients, as a result met many famous peole professionally. Married twice, five children (3off then 2off). Made me want to be an Engineer. Finally stopped by a brain tumor in 1998, he was most annoyed he wasn't going to see the new millenium.

Happy birthday

Eldest is coming down to sand the dining table we bought with their flat (because they absolutely must have it, love love love it etc etc) and it's been in my dining room since august!
An ultimatum has been issued 💪

But mumminess is an impossible thing to side step so of course when he arrives there are treats and snacks and some of his favourite foods 🙄😆

Food order incoming, making vegan ice cream and spaghetti bolognese (can't remember the last time I made the latter, it's probably been years), might have a go at egg bites today because I like those overpriced ones starbucks sell.

Bought a gimmick which will likely get used this evening (not by me) and look forward to updating everyone on its pointlessness later 😂

This was a big hit.
I thought they'd get two or three pints into the rugby and then it wouldn't be worth the bother but nope, they used it on every pint.
They said it made the guinness so smooth it was well worth it.
My son ordered himself one before the weekend was over!
