Plans for today (2025)

Waiting to quit sweating from my scrambled eggs with homemade red curry, turned the heat down already, then organize my rice and inventory another freezer shelf.

Vacuum???
Can you come over and vacuum here when you are done?

I have zero plans. It's really cold out today again--it was -14 last night--so I am waiting for it to "warm" up enough to actually leave the house and go do something. I will pick up a grocery order tomorrow. I might bake something later today but I haven't even figured out dinner yet...and in case you were wondering, no, I haven't even eaten breakfast yet.

Umm, no. Too cold up there! 🥶

I'm waiting for my slow cooker pork *thing* to get done along with my mostly dehydrated Thai green chili's.

My partner-in-crime for Indian food has wangled an interview on TV at 2pm, so I'm off in about 10 minutes to the TV station...Indian Food Course this Saturday! See if we can drag in some more willing customers...
The interview was great. So good, in fact, that the presenter of the show came with us to have lunch, at a Peruvian restaurant in a classy part of Caracas. We'd ordered the food when the owner of the restaurant came over and sat down with us. Ahhhh, chefs! How marvellous! What do you think of the food?
We began to criticize (constructively, of course), every plate we received. A 2 hour lunch turned into 5 hours, and I've just got home, with the promise of more events, more courses...and we got ourselves a free lunch :D :D :D Perú is ceviche, causa limeña, arroz chaufa (a mix of Peruvian, Chinese and Japanese), anticuchos, and hot chiles. Interesting (fusion) cuisine.
Best day I've had for ages!

Now that’s the sort of ‘work’ I could get into 😂

My plans are coming unstuck.

My 4×4 which I haven't locked since well before Christmas, has decided that she isn't going to be locked again. She's got central locking which actually works, but right now both of the doors with locks won't accept the key. It goes in a few millimetres and then meets something solid. The passenger one rotates the entire lock and barrel in with the key and hangs on to the key until you coax it back to vertical. The drivers one just does nothing at all. The boot doesn't have an external lock, but does have an internal knob which is odd.

So I can still drive her. I just can't lock her... until she gets repaired.

Wow, I haven't had shrimp ceviche since leaving Las Vegas! Thank you for the reminder now I'll have to make some and use some of my fresh green Thai chili's. 🥵

So plan today was drive to the capital in time for health check up tomorrow.
So phone call around 15.00 to confirm.
Call at 16.30 to cancel, and a oh, just come on Wednesday.
I've just driven 5 hours to make sure I could be there in time, so told them no can do.
I'll hear tomorrow morning if they can slot me in.
If not, I'll find another hospital as the doctor I was seeing has left anyway.

Slighty pissed off (and that's an understatement of note)

You need a G and T...

First call of the day was to change the two front tyres, which probably would have had me in jail had I been in England :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: .
Mission accomplished, so a visit to a new supermarket then back home. Baked potatoes in the oven and now I'm writing up some Indian food menus for a friend who says he's going to promote my food.
Since that involves no cost to me, fine!
