Were you happy with the way they worked?

Sort of. Amazed they didn’t stick to the bowl. Amazed at how easy it was.

I did 2 eggs in half a cup of water for 90 seconds - our microwave is not very powerful.

I thought the whites where the 2 eggs met was underdone so I did another 30 seconds.

The yolks were overdone as I was hoping for runny. I’ll try again today and pull them at 90 seconds.

Did you prick the yolks?
 
No. That was not part of the instructions anywhere that I read.

I’m assuming that’s to stop them exploding?

If you stick to the short cooking time they won’t explode.

Could you post a recipe thread for the method you used? I always thought the yolks needed pricking to (as you say) avoid exploding. I do cook boiled eggs in shell in the microwave but that is a different method.

Brunch for two.
DH's plate on the right and mine is the left... I don't care for Tomatoes and DH doesn't like Sour Dough Bread... DH likes his yolk almost hard cooked, I prefer a runny fried Egg ... just call me a short order cook :chef:
