Judgement time. .....

I don't know if less or or more entries make the task of choosing easier!! Perhaps the choice of ingredient wasn't that imaginative because oats are in lots of previously posted recipies. In any case reading any recipie is always a pleasure and they all sound delicious, even @classic33's smoothie, so thank you to everyone who entered.

In the end it was a difficult choice between the 2 oatcake recipies from @jennyb and @SatNavSaysStraightOn and the winning recipie is the more biscuity one from Jenny.

Well done @jennyb. :bravo:

As it happens I cooked up your oatcakes but haven't yet posted the photo - I was going to do that tomorrow. So I can add it to your recipe if you approve of it. Its a lovely simple recipe and the oatcakes seem to keep very well. I made some shortly after you posted the recipe and they have been in an air-tight tin. Still crisp!

Its over to you to choose a new ingredient and set the deadline (usually two weeks from when you set it). If you go to the first post in this thread, all the previous ingredients have been listed. It doesn't really matter if you choose one that has already been used - so long as its not too recent.

I am so surprised! I haven't looked in for a while as life suddenly got busy due to my aged father being taken ill. He is OK now thankfully. I did have the competition deadline in my diary though I didn't for one moment expect to win. I will have to think and get back shortly with a new ingredient.

I had a think about this and I am choosing spinach. Its something I like very much and I'd like to see some new ways to cook it. So the ingredient is spinach or any similar green leaves such as swiss chard. I have seen recipes for spinach cake so it doesn't need to be a savoury recipe! The deadline is midday Weds 8th March if that is OK.

That's a great choice. I love spinach too. There is usually some kind of equivalent across the world and it is very versatile. I'll add some suggested alternatives when I post up the new challenge shortly.

"I'm strong to the finish cause I eat my spinach" "I'm Popeye the sailor man."
Or in other words: we have spinach here.

Doesn't anyone here eat spinach or alternatives (chard, mustard greens, Choy Sum, water spinach or anything similar)? We need your recipes here! :D
