Apart from a dodgy ear, I am lucky health wise, my brother and sister-both older than me- both have health issues. Dad's having a few problems here and there but he is generally in good shape for 79.

I'm also in good shape for 79.

Unfortunately, I'm only 69.

Last day is fun, people eat, drink, chat etc..I got 4 hugs

Today was the last working day of the year,a few of my colleagues bought their kids in. The 3 women in the office with me know I don't like kids-I ham it up a bit- anyway, someone asked if I would be ok with all the kids there to which someone else replied, L has already come out in a rash

Great way to start the Christmas holiday, husband is in bed with a very heavy cold and I can't face food

A tot of rum works very nicely in juice when feeling under the weather and it is tastier than benylin

Shortest day here (yesterday)! Now it gets lighter earlier by nearly a minute every day. That thought always cheers me up.

So, life’s been interesting here with being caught travelling during the huge storm on Thursday.

Our train stopped and they told us it would terminate at the next station and busses would transport us through. My daughter was with me and her SnapChat feed was full of disasters as was my Face Book feed. I knew there was no way busses would get through.

I put out the word on FB that we were stuck & my old boss from my first office job rescued us back to her beautiful property for pizza and wine. Then another friend came to collect us once the State Emergency Services had cleared all the felled trees off the highways.

We got back to our nearest town just as security was closing the gates on the underground car park where I had left my car before catching the train to Sydney on Wednesday.


A bit of an adventure and so lucky not to have any damage despite the golf ball sized hail at home. Some areas had it as big as tennis balls. Crazy crazy week.
