It's still bleeding, just waiting for a call back from a clinician then its off to the hospital by the look of it.

That's what happened to me. It was still bleeding when I removed the bandage in the morning. If they cauterize it, make sure they give you a health dose of Novocain. It will throb for most of the day, so the longer your finger stays numb, the better.

Back from the hospital, finger properly dressed with an alginate pad, and I'm now following the medical advice to sit quietly for the rest of the day and keep it elevated.
Our NHS is brilliant.
