This pretty much sums up how we feel at Ford. And yes, they are related. Seriously.

If anyone is Christmas shopping for me, I wear a size lavender in Le Creuset

“My, Lissa, has anyone told you that Signature Buffet Casserole really brings out your eyes?”

Seriously, if I were buying any, that’s the color I’d want. I was on here several months ago moaning that everything here is aqua/teal and no lavender!

Ohhh but I love aqua/teal too! Too bad Le Creuset is so expensive (here in Portugal each of their items is around 200€).

I have a Le Creuset outlet store near me. I buy factory seconds, and honestly, I can't find anything wrong with them when I buy them. I've purchased some for half price.

I’m a tired grump today. It’s hard to explain without going into a bunch of boring work details, but I was on a call late Friday night (11PMish) to get some prep work done for an early Saturday morning task.

The Friday call was aggravating, because the person actually doing the work (I was acting as more of a facilitator between two groups) was more interested in having philosophical arguments instead of just doing the work.

Then I got early Saturday (5:30AM), didn’t actually have to do anything, but the group doing their work always wants one of us actively on their call “just in case” (we’ve explained over and over that there’s this wonderful device called a telephone and they could just call me if they need anything, but noooooo…).

Turned out, the prep work that they said they needed done Friday night…they didn’t need done. It was all for nothing.

“Kind of funny when you think about it, huh?” said their manager - yeah, I’m LMAO over here. 😒

Last night, called at 9PM and had to work until midnight, then called again at 3AM and had to work until 3:30AM, then called again at 5:30AM and had to work until 6:30AM, so I just stayed up. So I’ve had a total of maybe three hours of sleep, interrupted here and there.

I haven't been around much lately, mostly because we went away on our wedding anniversary trip and had no internet
AND out of the clear blue sky, I had to have another surgery (my surgeon is a specialist from out of state, so I need to work around his schedule when he's here in Cowboyville Arizona).
The bad news is that I didn't know that I had been exposed to Covid and I sure hope that I didn't infect anyone else in the hospital...
Hopefully, I will have one more surgery and that should do me, fingers crossed anyways 🫣

My son's got cerebral palsy. He's 37. We've had him properly medicated for years, but all of a sudden, in the last 15 days, he's been waking up at 2am and screaming obscenities about how he can't sleep and how the house is a pain in the butt.
Doc is on holiday so we won't be able to call her till next week.
I haven't had a decent night's sleep in two weeks. On a short fuse!

Yeah, and there is the very reason I refused to ever even apply for an IT job that expected out of hours support. I don't mind if I'm at work and a server fails and i have to stay late, or we knew we were going to need to work the weekend to get something done, but I won't do "on call". My health can't manage me not sleeping.
