My wifes family were cremated and are at another site. My m.i.l and I got really well. So I'm.going there along with my wife.

Mr SSOAP and I have instructed the boys to keep the ashes until both of us can be mixed together (preferably in an empty icecream tub or cardboard box) and scattered off Burgh Island.

Cremation for us too.
We were watching America's Funniest Videos the other night and 1 clip was a woman who found a bottle in the ocean. It was half filled with a bunch of "sand" and had a rolled up letter in it. This woman and her family/friends decide to open it, getting the "sand" all over themselves while trying to get the letter out. When they finally get the letter out and unroll it, getting more "sand" on them in the process, turns out the letter was from a women who put some of her husband's ashes in the bottle and threw it in the ocean.
Could have been staged of course. In fact, hope it was staged because you would think someone wouldn't be dumb enough to put ashes in a sealed glass bottle with a letter and not expect someone to eventually open it.

Sigh…just found out that one of husband’s coworkers I met at the party on Friday tested positive for covid on Saturday. Now we’re back into the whole monitor-for-symptoms-and-be-anxious thing.
It was a dull party too, definitely not worth covid!

It's too morbid for it's own thread, isn't it? And I think everyone who really had a comment about it already posted...probably will just "die" out.
We could call it "burn,baby, burn"!
