Not only does it not preclude him but he is using all the media attention to his advantage. He can say what he likes (and does). And that includes saying the whole trial is a sham. To him its a promotional tool.

Is he likely to win the election? Possibly. In fact I would bet at the moment that he does.

Prostate cancer is not an aggressive form of cancer either. Mine is a lipo sarcoma, a type of sarcoma that involves soft tissues instead of bones and joints. I had a large one removed in 2010. This is a recurrence. It has attached itself to several of my belly organs while the first one was attached to my stomach. I lost a little stomach tissue. Surgery could involve removing more than the sarcoma so we aren't going to deal with it. I'll be fine. Congratulations to your grandfather for having enjoyed a long life.

Well obviously it's all over the press today. I can only wonder what effect the sentence might have on the American voters. Whether is was correct or not, I'm not qualified to say; it's the US justice system and they have to work it out. What did concern me slightly was the diatribe against the "sham" trial, the "corrupt"justice system and the "corrupt" judge.
If I were that judge, I'd be filing for slander.

It’s guaranteed he’ll turn it into him fighting for real justice against the corruption.

My Dad, who is 85, has prostate cancer, at present, being treated for 4 years. Luckily no interfering symptoms. Like many said, he will die of other causes, with the cancer.

It was me who took it very badly, I was crumbled, and am assembling myself ever since. Possibly getting better and better at gathering myself.

Trump ALWAYS talks like that about anything he doesn't like. For nearly the entire trial he was under a gag order because he wouldn't stop running his mouth, including the families of court personnel. The judge did not include himself in the gag order so Trump has been attacking him the entire trial.

I'm a little younger than your father but I can tell you that there is less fear of everything at our age. We are usually just happy to be able to live another productive day.

I think it is fair to say that our justice normally works well. The rare instances to the contrary occur when it gets involved in politics. I've always said that politics is humanity at its worst. With war you always know what your enemy wants to do. He wants to kill you and break your stuff. With politics one never really knows.

I read an article that Trump supporters have been lodging death threats against the judge, prosecution, and jury. Some of have been digging for their home addresses and posting them so that others can possibly go do whatever horrific things those kinds of rabid people do. Hopefully nothing will escalate but one never knows with that kind of mob mentality.
