Bolster. They are going to add more, they say But Russia is definitely puffing It's feathers. It's a weakened country for sure and likely doesn't have the resources to follow through. But Putin is an angry madman, so that's got to make Finland and Sweden uncomfortable.

Russia has been threatening deploying 'satan 2' and 'world war three' the past 48 hours.

What do you think?

Does this mean they are trying to scare the rest of us because they're losing, or is there a real chance they will deploy Satan 2? I personally don't think it's likely because that would trigger a chain reaction leaving nothing to win for Russia either.

Most media seem to agree this is just Russia showing desperation. I sure hope so, it would be nice for this war to end.
 
Like any bully, Putin is just trying to scare others off and blame others for his own failings. It´s obviously not working. I´ve a feeling he probably knows his invasion is NOT going to plan and foreign aid is obviously making a difference in holding him back. That evidently makes him furious; hence the threats from his foreign minister Lapdog. Sorry, Lavrov.:cool::cool:

A bold prediction from one military expert that the Russian Army is close to collapse:

"Russia's assault on Donbas has "sort of fizzled" and the battle for the region will be over in two to four weeks, says military expert Dr Mike Martin.

The war studies visiting fellow at King's College London says: "Basically the Russians are gonna run out of troops, and the Ukrainians are going to counterattack."

The Russians have squandered their one chance to take the region, he believes.

"They pulled all of these mauled units out of Kyiv, and then tried to reconstitute them for combat in the east," he explains.

But they were "bruised and damaged" by the battle for the Ukrainian capital and Russia failed to build them up and "do some bold manoeuvre".

And Martin says there has been a "major strategic shift" in the war, with the UK declaring its aim is to clear Russian forces from Ukraine, including Crimea.

He adds that UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss is "wrong", however, to say this would take 10 years, insisting: "Russian forces will collapse before that, and we’ll see a coup."

And with the US announcing US$33bn (£26bn) of funding for Ukraine, "that is an extremely clear signal of intent", says Martin.

It also means Nato and the US have decided Vladimir Putin is bluffing about using nuclear weapons if Nato up the ante, he adds."


With Putin being filmed holding onto furniture to steady himself and the development of grimacing and twitches being widely reported, he doesn't look a well man (propaganda caveat applies).

As the Russian effort crumbles and NATO countries become more bullish the next couple of months are looking very unpredictable from a political standpoint.
 
I think that the Pentagon is now putting it's foot down, saying that enough is enough!! Putin needs to stop this!! :ninja:

Clearly NATO analysts have been examining all of the captured Russian equipment and abandoned positions. Russian movements and communications will be thoroughly monitored, and their tactics analysed by the best war gamers in the World. We can assume a wide range of Oligarchs have been contacted by Western governments for their true views, real Russian public opinion will have been canvassed, and no doubt high level military notes have been exchanged by all sides including China.

A ratcheting up of pressure on Putin by the US and NATO will have been finely calibrated to help Ukraine and move his tenure to a conclusion.

Let's hope so anyway.
 
He's caused thousands, if not more, of innocent lives to be lost!! Among those are innocent defenseless children!!!🤬
 
According to Sky News, Angelina Jolie is on a visit to Ukraine. Haven't the Ukrainians suffered enough?

Seriously, it's supposed to be some sort of UN ambassador thing, but it bothers me now that some of the rich and famous may start using this ghastly global crime as an opportunity to raise their profile.

There are a lot of things I don't like about her, but she has used a lot of her money to do good, and probably only about half of it is well-known philanthropy. I don't think she does it for the attention, I think her heart is in the right place. That being said, I don't much care for her acting, directing, or the tidbits about her personal life that the media loves to focus on.

Yes - it´s all very easy to say that, but so has Maduro in Venezuela, Ortega in Nicaragua, Kim in North Korea, and numerous dictators in Africa and the Middle East. Is the UN/the West supposed to intervene in every case?

I used to donate, but it has changed a lot, especially the content.

I've witnessed blatant lies being added and then edit wars breaking out.

I now longer edit and I no longer financially support Wiki.

The original founder now disowns the site, just like I do.
