I have a shelf full of beer glasses that I don’t use much, so I’ll pack those away and put this there. No place to put it!!

We just cut the UK plug off and fit the relevant country's plug. It's not hard, especially the first part.... especially if you keep your knuckles out of the way.... (5 stitches & 3hrs later...)so I wouldn’t have to fumble about with travel adapters on a UK plug.
Yer I have the correct plugs I just don’t ever remember I want to change them over until I’m swearing about the silly two pins pulling out of the socketsWe just cut the UK plug off and fit the relevant country's plug. We got UK sockets here, but most electrical equipment comes with a euro plug or an South African plug.
Quite annoying at times.
The euro plug does fit in the UK type with only a little effort, but the South African is a pain.
But generators only come with an SA plug.
And you can't buy SA plugs anymore as we are supposed to only have UK plugs
Bureaucracy...
How long do you store oil?During the time since my wife's stroke I have been re-organizing the kitchen. Frying was always a challenge because we have done it pots on the stove. My wife had a habit of storing the oil in a large Pyrex measuring cup covered with aluminum foil. An embarrassment but true. So I figured we could just as easily store the oil in one of these so I ordered one.

Yeah, and if you've fried fish or prawns in it, it's one and done. I always stored oil in a Pyrex container with a tight fitting lid if I only fried in it once (say French fries/chips) and then only used it one more time after. Oil goes off pretty easily once air gets to it anyway. It can get a rancid smell and taste easily. How long do you store oil?
One of the things I dislike about deep frying is how much oil I throw away, to the extent true deep frying happens about once a year!

I store it until the flavor is unpleasant, usually about 4 uses. We make fish and chips regularly. What JAS says about fish is true so i will probably continue to fry that in the sauce pan. It is a favorite of my wife's. We like French fries with our sandwiches as well. Battered onion rings are nice and I fry plantains at least once per week. I generally strain the oil after each use but that will be impractical with this device so I can't guess how it will work out. At least it won't be the eyesore that the foil covered measuring cup is. It wasn't very expensive either. How long do you store oil?

That deep fryer looks pretty darned nice! We used to have a "Fry Daddy" but I quit using it and got rid of it, it was much smaller than yours and not really practical for what I wanted to do.I store it until the flavor is unpleasant, usually about 4 uses.
