What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy?

Well I know this isn't much of a kitchen item, but I want to get a set of crumpet/English muffin rings. I think I only need 6 since I will be cooking 4-6 at a time (total batch of 10-12). The thing is, we like smaller portions of food, and I see a lot of the rings are 4". They have some that are 3.15" (8cm) which seem more of a suitable size, to me. I never thought to measure the size of the ones from the grocery store. I saw a set of 6 of the 3.15" ones on Amazon for $2.99 (discounted from $9.99) that are stainless steel. I've just been cutting them out with a knife thus far and they have some nooks and crannies inside, but I am thinking if I use rings for the final rise and to cook them in they will have better texture inside. Anyone here have any experience with this?

years back I used cat food cans . . . they had can-opener-removable-lids top&bottom back then . . .
Amazon et.al. have "ring molds" in every size you can imagine . . .

it does indeed help having them rise in the molds . . .

I use mine just about as much as the IP, Instant Pot. It's flawless for browning things in a hurry. My biggest plus is I'm not heating up 5 1/2 cubic ft. of space to say brown 2 chunked potatoes. My air fryer uses x62 less power than the oven and since it's smaller it can cook faster.

The next kitchen item I am planning to buy (here in Cork or in Milan, whatever) is the air fryer. I am getting so many positive feedback about that that I think it may worth it the investment. Am I right or am I going to make a mistake?
I suppose it depends on the person, but I was skeptical for years until I bought one.

While I don’t think it’s the greatest thing ever or the answer to all kitchen prayers, I like the way it does certain things well enough that I’m not sorry I bought it. I used it yesterday for the little potato sticks we had with our breakfast.

It works very well with from-frozen convenience, but does other things as well - I hard-cook eggs in it and it’s now my preferred method for that, for example, and it’s great at reheating cold fast food french fries (and I know you like your BK!).

Really, in the scheme of things, they’re not that expensive if you find you don’t like it. I say go for it!

I like mine.
My boys choose to use theirs over the main oven most days.
It is just a mini convection oven that heats up fast but it’s surprising how convenient and cheap to run it is.
So much so that my eldest has made a template of the inside of the basket and when I get back I’ll be making them pizza’s in that shape that can go straight from the freezer into the air fryer, faster fast food 😂

One thing I’d consider if buying again is the size and shape of the basket and if you can easily get dishes in that shape that will fully fit it.
Before I had one I wouldn’t have considered baking things so didn’t consider it, I see now there are all sorts of silicone ‘baskets’ for putting liquidy foods in, none are the right shape for my airfryer so I can’t use the full capacity.
Hope that makes sense.

Very much this. Mine is round, and it’s a lot of lost space. I’d recommend a square one.

I think I posted photos of it in an air fryer thread awhile back, but I have the Emeril 9-in-1 which is an air fryer, toaster oven, convection oven, rotisserie oven, dehydrator, and more. It does take up a bit of space but we use it nearly every day and sometimes several times a day. I bake in it a lot when cooking something small and don't need my whole oven, and for those who live in hot climates, this would be useful in the summer so as to not heat up the entire kitchen.
