Lebanon bologna, farmers’ cheese, and spicy mustard sandwich, with some leftover baked beans and some cheesy poofs.

I made that a close-up hi-res pic in case Morning Glory wants to use that in a featured thread.

I just started a pot of sauce for spaghetti in my crockpot. I added the tomato sauce, garlic, red wine, onions, and mushrooms so far. Tonight I will add some ground lamb, beef, and pork and then tomorrow night we will have ravioli with it I think...

Edited to add that tomorrow I will add fresh herbs and whatever else it might need.
Frustrated that it's too early for fresh herbs around here! None of the seasonal greenhouses are open yet (I called), and it's too cold for them to be in the garden centers at Walmart or Home Depot (we sometimes still get frost until late May). I was going to just buy a potted oregano, basil, and parsley plant and keep them in the window until it's time to plant (and cut what I need to use tonight for the sauce), but no one has any close by. We do have a few garden centers further away that might have them but I don't feel like driving 45 minutes round trip to get them. So I will have to suck it up and spend $2-$3 on those little packets of fresh herbs at the market down the street. I hate that, but the sauce is always so much better with fresh herbs in it. Ah well, off I go.

They have been available for a few weeks here. I need to buy some and get them started. I'm late this year.

I would have figured they'd be available there in mid-March. At any rate, I know it wouldn't be a big deal to plant oregano and parsley now, as they are rather frost resistant. Just can't find them. Normally my parsley and oregano come back in the spring but I am not seeing any evidence of last year's batch coming up this time, but we did have some pretty heavy snow and prolonged cold periods this winter. The basil? Forgedaboudit. It doesn't like temps below 38F, much less a little frost.

I found a big bunch of flatleaf parsley for .99 cents and a puny plastic container of basil for $1.99. No oregano, so I will just have to use dried.

Mid March is a few weeks ago. I usually plant the last week in March, but I need to have some other work done this year in the yard before planting.

Is this a new way to cook eggs? You usually fry or poach. How do you steam them?

I normally cook an egg this way when I cook bubble and squeak.

The mash (in this case potato and cauliflower) is pan fried until brown on the bottom. The mash is then turned over and an indentation made (but not to the pan surface) into which the egg is broken. Covering the pan will then steam the egg whilst the other side of the mash browns.

You do realize there are 31 days in March and it's April 11th, almost mid April? Mid March was 4 weeks (a month) ago.

Our garden bed needs to be tilled. I saw onion sets today and almost bought some.

Baked (Jacket) Potato, a Russet, cooked perfectly, topped with my homemade Paniolo (that's Hawaiian for Cowboy) Chili.
A bit of shredded sharp Cheddar Cheese and some chopped Sweet White Onion
ONO! (that's also Hawaiian, it means delicious)
