The original plan for my birthday was to pull on my walking boots and bother the fields and towpaths of South Leics, but the thermometer said no. So Salmon Poke and beer for lunch and an afternoon of reclining instead.

I've got ribs in the oven for tonight. I have chicken thighs and legs in a marinade for tandoori grilled chicken usng some spice provided by the spice master for tomorrow night, super excited to try it for the first time.

First time for me ...

I made Lentil, Italian Sausage and Kale Stoup (really thick soup) in the Instant Pot.
The house smells wonderful!
I'll divvy this up for:
my deep freeze
Mom
Neighborhood Gal who still works, I like to make her things to take to lunch
Mrs. Next Door Neighbor who loves soup as much as me and eats it all year round, like me ...

this is my wife's comfort dish. I like to make it for her. Mar Po Tofu. I went thru a bunch of variations, but I have homed in on a version very much like what my stepdad made for us.
