I made the mistake of asking where the veg was... this was our wedding anniversary meal. Hubby 'prepared'....

Reheated Persian Saffron baked rice with 3×½ vegan sausages....

Who said romance was dead?

Yeah, me.

I did manage to get some garden peas for the end of the meal!


PS, he has actually booked a meal out on my birthday in a few days time.

Husband and I had some errands to run, so we decided to go out for lunch. First time I’ve been out for sushi since the pandemic!

It was soooooooo good.

We did flowers on our parents graves etc and called into daughter for afternoon. Home at 6 I didnt want to cook.

2 reg chicken. Fries. $39
From souvlaki brothers near us. Owned by Algerians.

I had two slices of pannetone for breakfast. Actually, not strictly pannetone, it's called "Filone" - rectangular. Lousy picture because I didn't hold the camera still, but...

Tbh after all the rich and complicated dishes it was perfect - potato, butter, smoked sea salt and a bit of coleslaw.
